- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of pine tar. This standard applies to pine tar oil produced by distillation of pine root crude oil and wood rosin residue, which is mainly used as a softener and wood preservative in the rubber industry.
