- This standard specifies the test material, method principle, test materials, test procedures, quality control, data and reports of seawater biodegradable closed bottle method. This standard is suitable for testing and evaluating the biodegradability of chemicals with a solubility in water of at least 2 mg/L in seawater. For substances with low solubility, in principle, they can be tested with reference to this standard like volatile compounds (such as ultrasonic dispersion treatment).
