Scope

This standard specifies the safety requirements for self-propelled forestry machinery and forestry machinery assembled according to operational requirements. This standard covers general serious hazards, dangerous situations and events that can be reasonably foreseen by the manufacturer during normal use or misuse of forestry machinery, such as fellers, bunchers, delimmers, forwarders, and timber loaders specified in ISO 6814. machine, skidder, combined work machine, combined feller and crusher and spreader, as well as the multi-functional combined work machine that combines the above models. This standard does not cover hazards specific to individual machines, such as hazards related to specific accessories. Therefore, this standard alone is not sufficient to cover all serious hazards for most machines covered by this standard. This standard does not cover the hazards related to saw chain breakage and projection on the upper side of the guide plate, cargo lifting and unloading, remote control operation, work light requirements, and road safety. This standard does not involve vibration measurement test devices and working cycles, nor does it involve inspection methods for noise measurement. This standard does not apply to hazards associated with professional maintenance personnel maintaining and repairing machines. Appendix A of this standard gives a list of serious hazards. This standard does not apply to machines produced before the implementation of this standard.
