- This standard specifies the inspection scope, inspection methods, quality assessment and classification of welds for submarine hull structures and other requirements. This standard is applicable to the quality inspection and grading of submarine welding quality of hull structures made of 921A steel, 922A steel, 923 steel, 907A steel and 980 steel with base metal nominal thickness of 3 mm to 100 mm. Other underwater pressure-resistant structural parts used in submarine construction may refer to this standard.
