Scope: This part of GB/T 8117, also known as "Retrofit Regulations", sets out supplementary modification procedures for thermal performance verification tests for retrofitting steam turbines. The provisions given in this section follow the guidelines in GB/T 8117.2-2008, but also modify and supplement the guaranteed value of the modified steam turbine and verify the guaranteed value through the thermal performance acceptance test. This section gives the general principles of preparation, implementation, calculation, comparison of test results and guaranteed values, and measurement uncertainty of verification tests. This section is only applicable to performance verification tests of certain hardware modifications in steam turbine equipment. This section does not apply to any improvement of the circulation system or any modification of other power plant equipment (such as boilers, feed water heaters, etc.).
