- This standard specifies the ammonium metamolybdate spectrophotometric method for the determination of total phosphorus in solid waste. This standard is applicable to the determination of total phosphorus in crushable solid or semi-solid solid waste. When the sampling volume is 0.5 g, the fixed volume is 50 ml, and a 30 mm cuvette is used, the detection limit of this standard method is 3 mg/kg, and the lower determination limit is 12 mg/kg.
