This standard specifies two sinusoidal vibration test methods using variable frequencies for transport packaged cargo and unit load cargo. This test method can be used to evaluate the strength and content protection performance of transport packages and unit loads under vertical vibration. Each test can be used as a single test to investigate the effects of vertical vibration, or as part of a series of tests to evaluate the ability of a package or unit load to withstand vibration hazards that may occur in a real-world distribution environment. .
