Scope

This standard specifies the procedure for evaluating the maximum sound emitted by power cruise ships with a single hull of up to 24 m in length, according to one of the two alternative methods specified in Annex A and Annex B. This standard does not apply to type tests for outboard engines and stern-drive systems with integrated exhaust.
