Scope

This standard specifies a method for measuring residual styrene monomers in reinforced plastics of unsaturated polyester resins in a polymerized state (hereinafter referred to as UP resins in a polymerized state) using gas chromatography. Residual styrene monomer is an important measure in evaluating the degree of crosslinking of UP resin in the polymerized state. This method is not suitable for UP resins with high chemical resistance.
