Scope

This standard specifies the classification and code, size, shape, weight and allowable deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marks and quality certificates of steel used in high-strength round link chains for mining. This standard is applicable to hot-rolled and cold-drawn round steel for the manufacture of high-strength round link chains for coal mine scraper conveyors and coal plows.
