KS I ISO 12219-2:2013 Interior air of road vehicles ― Part 2: Screening method for the determination of the emissions of volatile organic compounds from vehicle interior parts and materials ― Bag method
This standard specifies a sampling bag test method for measuring volatile organic compounds (VOC), formaldehyde, and other carbonyl compounds emitted from automobile interior components into the automobile interior space. This standard is intended to evaluate and screen new automotive interior components and materials such as seats, instrument panels, ceilings, etc. This standard covers a test procedure that uses sampling bags to screen for VOCs, formaldehyde and other carbonyl compounds. This standard supplements existing standards and seeks to approach the following in order to reduce costs for third-party testing agencies and manufacturers:
——Evaluation of prototypes when developing low-emission materials/products and Screen - Comparison of emissions between products with different colors or patterns This standard specifies the shape, structure, performance, and evaluation of sampling bags used for emission testing of gaseous organic substances diffusing from automobile interior parts.
