KS H ISO 16931:2013 Animal and vegetable fats and oils ― Determination of polymerized triglycerides by high-performance size-exclusion chromatography (HPSEC)
This standard specifies the use of HPSEC to determine the polymerized triacylglycerol (PTAG) content in fats and oils containing at least 3% (from peak area) of polymer. Since polymerized triacylglycerols (strictly speaking, dimer and oligomeric triacylglycerols) are formed during heating of fats and oils, this method serves to evaluate the thermal degradation of frying oil after use. This method is used for heat-treated oils and fats and frying oils. Can be applied to. It can also be applied to the determination of polymers in fat in animal feed, but may affect the results.
