This standard specifies a method for determining the equivalent cell temperature (ECT) of solar cell devices (cells, modules, and module-type arrays). This equivalent cell temperature (ECT) is intended to be used for comparing the thermal characteristics of solar cell elements and for converting the measured IV characteristics to NOCT (Nominal Operating Cell Temperature) to other temperatures.
