Scope

This standard specifies a method for determining the equivalent cell temperature (ECT) of solar cell devices (cells, modules, and module-type arrays). This equivalent cell temperature (ECT) is intended to be used for comparing the thermal characteristics of solar cell elements and for converting the measured IV characteristics to NOCT (Nominal Operating Cell Temperature) to other temperatures. This standard is intended to stabilize It is applied to linear devices with VOC log dependence depending on the irradiation intensity under the specified conditions. This method can be applied to all technologies, but it must be checked that preprocessing effects do not affect the measurement.
