Scope

This standard applies to selenium and copper oxide stacks, rectifiers and rectifier equipment used to supply dc power from an ac source at frequencies below 2 000 Hz (c/s). This standard does not apply to telecommunication rectifiers, except those used for power to telecommunication equipment, nor does it apply to rectifiers used as auxiliary to measuring instruments.
