This standard specifies the information that must be provided by suppliers of connectors between laser devices and optical fibers or fiber optic cable assemblies. It also specifies the following requirements: a) Minimum documentation to be provided by the supplier of optical fiber connectors and connector assemblies to ensure correct mating; b) If the laser output is used via optical fiber, the laser device supplier. Minimum documentation that must be provided. This standard does not apply to connectors used for communication.
