This standard specifies the terms, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificate and contract (or order form) content of titanium-nickel shape memory alloy wire (hereinafter referred to as wire). This standard is applicable to cold-processed, hot-processed, annealed and straightened wire materials for the production of spectacle frames, orthodontic wires, super-elastic springs, temperature control components, etc.
