Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the white point of screen luminance and chromaticity for 70 mm, 35 mm, and 16 mm film prints at 24 frames per second for theatrical screening. In this standard, the term “screen” means the projected image area appropriate for the film format and projection system in use. 1.2 This standard covers typical 70 mm, 35 mm, and 16 mm screens for projection at 24 frames per second, although not intended for theatrical use. It is also highly recommended for projection of printed films.
