Scope
The guideline addresses two- and three-point controllers, the timing of which is usually generated with feedback. To represent these electrical control devices for continuous input signals and pulse-shaped output signals, switching controllers are used in the output, which constantly carry out a constant comparison between the controlled and reference variables in the input and in which the output of the switching amplifier acts back on the comparator via a continuous, time-dependent feedback.* In addition to definitions, variable names and symbols with which the operation and switching states of the above-mentioned controllers are described and recorded, various variables for describing the control behavior (such as switching duration, period duration, output level, time average of the manipulated variable) are discussed, as is the mathematical treatment the function of controllers. Following a classification of the controllers depending on the type of feedback and the corresponding control behavior, detailed sections follow in a structured form, which contain the most diverse device features, device descriptions (technical documents, connection designations, type identification) and conclusions from device investigations.* www.vdi.de/2189
