The goal of document is to configure the sampling of soil gas (soil gas = gas in the pore spaces of soils) practically and to offer suitable sampling variants for different masurement tasks. Sampling of soil gas according to this document serves primarily for the determination of organic pollutants in soil in order to quickly and with relatively little effort recognize the possible risk of groundwater pollution prior to its occurence, for example, or to provide information about pre-existing contamination of groundwater and/or soil. It can be applied to sampling of soil gas in unconsolidated sediments, not in hard rock. Part 2 can only used in combination with the analytical guidelines, Part 3 and 4.
