Scope

This standard specifies the electrical, climate, mechanical and other performance requirements of radio frequency cables, as well as the unified test methods, quality assessment rules, signs, packaging, transportation, and storage. This standard applies to coaxial or symmetrical flexible or semi-flexible radio-frequency cables used in radio communication equipment and electronic devices using similar technology. Insulation can be solid, air or semi-air, and is constructed of low-loss thermoplastic polymer resins, thermosetting compounds or mineral materials.
