- Scope
- This standard specifies the general requirements and test methods for marine navigation equipment. If there are special requirements, they shall be stipulated in the corresponding equipment standards. This standard applies to all electronic navigation equipment required to be shipped by Article 12 of Chapter V of the 1974 Revised Edition of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, and also applies to other ship navigation equipment.
