- Scope
- This standard specifies the method for determining the permanganate index in water. This standard is applicable to the determination of drinking water, source water and surface water, and the determination range is 0.5~4.5mg/L. For heavily polluted water, less water samples can be taken and measured after appropriate dilution. This standard is not applicable to the determination of the load of organic pollution in industrial wastewater. If determination is required, the potassium dichromate method can be used to determine the chemical oxygen demand.
