This part of is 12228 specifies a procedure for determining the content and composition of sterols and triterpene dialcohols contained in olive oil and olive pomace oil by gas chromatography. To determine the content and composition of sterols in any other fatty substance of animal or plant origin, is 12228-1 shall be used.
