Scope

This International Standard specifies a method for evaluating the homogeneity of Gd dis ribution in gadolinium fuel mixtures and for determining the Gd2O3 content in sintered Gd2O3+UO2 fuel pellets ranging from 1% to 10% , by measuring the elements gadolinium (Gd) and uranium (U) using the inductively coupled plasma atomic emis ion spectrometry (ICP-AES) method.
