- This standard defines the commonly used terms and their definitions involved in instrumented nanoindentation testing in terms of general basics, instrument characteristics, mechanical measurements, parameter identification, test samples, and test settings. This standard is mainly applicable to instrumented nano-indentation test, and can also be extended to instrumented indentation test.
