Scope

This part of is 3233 specifies a method for measuring the volume content of non-volatile matter (NVv) of paint products by determining the practical density of the dry film. This method determines the percentage by volume of non-volatile materials in paints, varnis es and related products by measuring the density of a dry coating for any specified temperature range and drying or curing period.
