This International Standard specifies techniques for manual ultrasonic testing of coatings on steel applied by welding, rolling and explosion using single-element or separate transmitter and receiver transducers. The test is intended to cover the detection of dis ontinuities at 2 or 3 dimensions present in the coating and interface region. This International Standard does not provide acceptance criteria and does not define the extent of testing.
