- Scope
- The GB/T 21207 standard aims to improve the interoperability of equipment, network tools and application software. This part of GB/T 21207 specifies a general model framework for access network industrial equipment, and provides a template for forming such a description, independent of the network used. This framework is based on the principles specified in IEC/TR 62390:2005 and formulated with reference to ISO 15745. This section applies to root device descriptions, general device descriptions, and special device descriptions. The root device description will be promulgated in the subsequent parts of the GB/T 21207 series of standards. Users (product manufacturers and other organizations) should apply the root device description in conjunction with the rules specified in this section. This section allows the user to extend the Root Device Description and/or the Generic Device Description. If there is no suitable root device description, the user may use the rules specified in this section to develop a generic or specific device description. In order to facilitate the use of descriptions through network tools and application software, this section recommends the use of description interchange language to represent device description information.
