Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions of laboratory waste chemicals, classification requirements for laboratory waste chemicals, general requirements, requirements for producers of laboratory waste chemicals, collection, storage requirements and safety of laboratory waste chemicals. This standard is applicable to the classification, collection, storage, and daily management of laboratory waste chemicals by producers of laboratory waste chemicals; it can also be used as a reference for professional waste chemical treatment institutions to standardize the collection of laboratory waste chemicals. This standard does not apply to medical, radioactive laboratory waste chemicals and biochemical laboratory waste chemicals involving biological factors (microorganisms and biologically active substances).
