This International Standard defines the different types of pulling eyes which are prepared on or attached to the end of a steel cable to connect it to another cable when installing a new cable or for reeving an exis ing cable on a machine. This International Standard also specifies the minimum requirements for pulling eyes, including their geometry, their strength, the maximum force exerted on the sling for which the pulling eyes are intended to be submitted together with the information for use to be provided by the manufacturer.
