Scope: This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, product information and marking of laser protective glasses. This standard is applicable to eye protection for accidental laser radiation (laser radiation wavelength within the range of 180 nm to 1 000 μm). This standard does not apply to: - eye protection for direct observation of laser beams; - laser protection products used as observation windows on laser equipment, such as laser protective screens (see GB/T 18151); - optical equipment (such as Laser protection filters in microscopes).
