- This standard specifies the detection methods of ethylene glycol methyl ether, ethylene glycol ethyl ether and diethylene glycol methyl ether in cosmetics. This standard is applicable to the determination of ethylene glycol methyl ether, ethylene glycol ethyl ether and diethylene glycol methyl ether in cream, emulsion and liquid cosmetics. The detection limit of this standard for ethylene glycol methyl ether, ethylene glycol ethyl ether and diethylene glycol methyl ether is 15 mg/kg, and the limit of quantification is 50 mg/kg.
