Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of metronidazole in cosmetics by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. This standard applies to the determination of metronidazole in creams, lotions, liquids, powders and other cosmetics. The detection limit of this standard method is 0.003 mg/kg, and the quantification limit is 0.01 mg/kg.
