- This standard specifies the HPLC method for the determination of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol, pentachlorophenol and thiochlorophenol content in cosmetics. This standard is applicable to the determination of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol, pentachlorophenol and thiochlorophenol in cream, lotion and liquid cosmetics. The detection limit and quantification limit of this standard: the detection limit of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol is 1.5 mg/kg, the quantification limit is 5.0 mg/kg; the detection limit of pentachlorophenol is 1.5 mg/kg, The limit of quantification was 5.0 mg/kg; the detection limit of thiochlorophenol was 0.8 mg/kg, and the limit of quantification was 2.5 mg/kg.
