- This standard specifies four methods for the determination of total arsenic in food detergents, namely hydride atomic absorption method, hydride atomic fluorescence method, silver salt method and arsenic spot method. This standard applies to the determination of total arsenic in food detergents, and also applies to the determination of total arsenic in non-food detergents. The hydride atomic absorption method, the hydride atomic fluorescence method and the silver salt method are suitable for the quantitative determination of total arsenic, and the arsenic spot method is suitable for the limited determination.
