- This standard specifies the static headspace-gas chromatography method for the determination of volatile alcohols in rice wine. This standard applies to n-propanol, is butanol, n-butanol, active amyl alcohol (2-methyl-1-butanol), is amyl alcohol (3-methyl-1-butanol), and n-hexanol in rice wine. Determination. The detection limits (mg/L) of this standard method are: n-propanol is 0.5; is butanol is 0.5; n-butanol is 0.8; active amyl alcohol is 1.5; is amyl alcohol is 1.2; n-hexanol is 0.9.
