Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification and model naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage of thermal storage indoor electric heaters. This standard applies to thermal storage indoor electric heaters (hereinafter referred to as "heaters") used in homes and similar places for single-phase appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V and other appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 480 V.
