Scope

This standard specifies the energy efficiency level, test methods and inspection rules of hair dryers. This standard applies to hand-held hair dryers with electric heating elements and rated input power of 2.2 kW and below and combined hair dryers with a hair dryer as the main body and a non-electric working head. This standard does not apply to hair dryers for children and special purposes.
