Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification and model naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of household and similar filter devices for removing particulate matter from tap water. This standard applies to pre-filters that use municipal tap water or other centralized water supplies as raw water and use filters or laminations as the main filtration means for use in households and similar places.
