Scope

This standard specifies two methods for measuring the hemwear properties of fabrics using the hemwear tester and the Martindale abrasion tester. Method A (Hemming Abrasion Tester) is suitable for most fabrics, but not suitable for pile testing of plush, polar fleece and other fabrics; Method B (Martindale Abrasion Tester) is suitable for most fabrics, not suitable for For fabrics with greater elasticity.
