Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging and marking of molybdenum disilicide protective tubes for thermocouples. This standard applies to molybdenum disilicide protection tubes (hereinafter referred to as protection tubes) used in various corrosive media such as oxidizing, reducing or alternating oxidation-reduction atmospheres, acidic atmospheres or acidic molten salts.
