- This standard specifies the methods and procedures to be followed when using a reference laboratory network to assign values and evaluate uncertainty in enzyme activity concentrations in reference materials. This standard is applicable to the assignment of enzyme activity concentrations in reference materials and the assessment of their uncertainty through a reference laboratory network. Clinical laboratories are encouraged to use enzyme activity concentration reference materials assigned according to this standard to verify the traceability and accuracy of routine testing items in this laboratory. This standard does not apply to the evaluation of the uncertainty of measurement results by a single reference laboratory.
