NF X40-100-1*NF EN 599-1+A1:2014 Durability of wood and wood-based products - Efficacy of preventive wood preservatives as determined by biological tests - Part 1 : specification according to use class
This part of EN 599 prescribes, for each of the five use classes defined in EN 335-1, the biological tests required for the evaluation of the effectiveness of preservative products applied in the preventive treatment of solid wood , with the minimum aging tests required by employment class. It provides the method for calculating the critical value of a preservative product. The critical value is the value that should be used to calculate the recommended retention of the appropriate preservative under specific service conditions. The critical value does not necessarily correspond to the recommended retention.
