NF C93-704-1-2*NF EN 62137-1-2:2014 Surface-mounting technology - Environmental and endurance test methods for surface mount solder joint - Part 1-2 : shear strength test
The test method described in this part of IEC 62137 is applicable to surface mounted components without connection and to surface mounted connectors to which the tensile test is not applicable. It is not applicable to multiple outlet components or gull wing outlet components. The method is designed to test and evaluate the endurance of the solder joint between the component terminals and the receiving pads on a substrate, by means of a shear-type mechanical stress. This test makes it possible to evaluate the effects of repeated temperature variations on the resis ance of the brazed joints between the terminals
