Scope
This European Standard specifies the characteris ics of lightweight, UV laser-markable electrical cables of the DR family used in aircraft on-board electrical systems 115 V AC (between phase and neutral) or 200 V AC (between phases) at temperatures operating range between - 65 oC and 260 oC. Cables sizes 26 to 14 have demonstrated their resis ance to electric arcs (115/200 V AC). In addition, cables from size AWG 12 and above can be used for voltages 230/400 V AC in pressurized areas, their installation must take into account the possible effects of short circuits (at the dis retion of the users).
