Scope

This International Standard provides a qualitative method for the identification of rubbers by their pyrolysis products using gas chromatography and mass spectrography in conjunction. The method is applicable to rubbers in the raw state and to mixtures vulcanized or No. In mixtures, rubbers can be alone or combined. When the level of a particular rubber in a mixture is <10%, detection and identification can be difficult.
