This standard specifies the requirements for polyester films made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) as raw material, made by melt extrusion and biaxial stretching, and with a base layer pre-coated on one or both sides of the film. Test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage. This standard applies to optical polyester films for deep processing that have requirements such as printability and high adhesion.
