- This section specifies methods for the determination of hydroquinone content in industrial vinyl acetate using volumetric and UV spectrophotometric methods. This section is applicable to the determination of industrial vinyl acetate with a hydroquinone content of (1~20) mg/kg. Since the aldehyde and ketone compounds present in the sample also have UV absorption at 295 nm, when measured using UV spectrophotometry, the measurement results will be higher.
