This standard specifies a multi-channel carbon black filtration test method using batch thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), online continuous Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), or other recognized carbon black measurement techniques to evaluate single-stage or The initial filtration efficiency of a multi-stage centrifugal or other type of carbon black removal device (SRD), with the fluid flow rate kept constant during the test. This test procedure determines the time-weighted average initial soot removal efficiency of a soot removal device. This test method is applicable to carbon black removal devices (SRD) with a rated flow rate of 0.5 L/min~75 L/min.
