Scope: This part of JB/T 11783 specifies the product classification, model preparation rules and technical requirements for belts, pulleys and tensioners used in reciprocating internal combustion engine accessory transmission systems, as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage. This section applies to accessory transmission systems for internal combustion engines such as road vehicles, agricultural tractors and forestry machinery, engineering machinery, ships, generator sets, drainage and irrigation machinery, except timing transmission systems. For belts, pulleys and tensioners used in transmission systems in other industries, this section may also be used with appropriate modifications as long as the manufacturer and the customer agree.
